Lady Cake Suggests… Elliot’s Fish & Chips!
This time I am sharing not one, not two but three eating places! One for your main course and two options for a sweet treat afterwards.
We are venturing into Hunstanton, Norfolk for this next one. As some of you may know, I am vegan so I am always on the look out for places where I have options. My next choice has an extensive menu for both standard and vegan diets.
It is called Elliot’s Fish & Chips. It is a traditional wooden beachfront chip shop in Hunstanton which has an extensive standard, and equally impressive vegan menu. The address is Unit 12, South Promenade and it is a short stroll from the free seafront motorbike parking. There is also Southend Car Park, PE36 5AR for those busier periods. To ensure you don’t make the same mistake as me, is free for bikes to park in the designated motorbike parking bays. The sign as you drive in confirms this but the signage next to the ticket machine doesn’t so don’t be fooled!
Did I mention they’re vegan friendly?
Elliot’s also have the most amazing homemade tartare sauce, which is also vegan friendly. I had a repeat visit 1st September and took a tub so I could buy it in bulk to bring home!
The traditional fish and chips got a big thumbs up from my non-vegan buddies too when I dragged them all there during the National Trip. There’s even a few tables next door you can sit on that have been specifically designed to be wheelchair friendly.
Pudding anyone?
For dessert, just across the car park are a couple of options. Elliot’s Desserts (PE36 5BQ) who sell an amazing range of waffles, ice cream and treats. Or next door is Em’s Tea Shop. Here they sell amazing cake and serve tea in the funkiest teapots ever.
I highly recommend a stop for fish and chips, with lashings of tartare sauce. Then have a wander to let your dinner settle before going for a waffle or tea and cake. Either way you won’t be disappointed.
Until next time!
